I'm debating some touring this weekend and Moon is always on the list. Skiable from Summit?

Yeh, it's good to go from the summit (a little tight for the first 50ft). That was my first time skiing it, so we booted up. Laying the bootpack was rough (kept sinking in at least to our knees), but it was worth it for the conditions. The last 50ft of the bootpack was very steep 45-50 degrees with sugary snow (pretty sketchy).

My view as POWHNTR works his way down.

I was very surprised how well the conditions were on Round Top. Nothing hard, no rocks, just slough to deal with. I trespassed on Powdorks terrain (CP Mini Golf) on Saturday and everything below the road was pretty hard, but skied smooth. Sunday was well worth it. I purchased new boots on Saturday...........the first turn I made in them was dropping into the Moon.

I'm glad to hear the Pows are getting some use. Don't bring 'em to Tahoe, we need it to snow while you are here I'm gone Sat and Sun, but if you are around end of this week or beginning of next, hit me up if you want and I can show you around.

agreed. I was thinking of joining them on Sunday, but Lucy Crabapple and I decided to get some Mtn biking in outside the basin. I figured that line would be windboardy...

Tahoe Lovers, mountain biking season is just around the corner, trails are already becoming rid-able and we really need your vote

The tie is broken, we are now in second place, time to take it all the way home now!

    Select flow trails then Corral

I know these facebook voting things are a pain (create a fake account if need be) but it’s important and I promise not to shoot this dog if you vote

I thought that was AKA's dog. If so, I'm retracting the vote I did cast.

We'll be around a bit on Monday before heading back to SFO.

Keeping options open now for Tahoe-north or Tahoe-south...
(Mtn Collective pass - 2 days for Squaw-Alpine was original plan).

Funny as I was temporally delayed in Parking on Sunday while a BUS backed into it's spot, I wondered to myself if the two of you were on it, guess so

Well, I've got a small window to ride and going to go for a early evening spur lap tomorrow and most likely hit up KW on Saturday. But I'm game for any ideas before the rain hits...

Anyone been in Halls lately? Frozen solid? Does far skiers right Halls go?

halls got a lot of rain today as did everywhere on the south shore up to around 8,000. the north shore seemed to miss the brunt of it (fingers crossed).
