wednesday and thursday were epic.

Still waiting...
I'm not nearly the skier as a lot of those who usually post videos/pics in this thread, but what the hell, here goes. This is from yesterday at SquawStar...
Hoping this will encourage more people to post stuff here, since not all of us can shred lines in Mott Canyon on coral reef. ;-)
Anyone been out to red lake today or yesterday? Was at Tellac today -- trees were creamy deliciousness -- thinking red lake tomorrow but don't know if the north bowl is going to be as soft bc wind exposure...
Long time lurker. First time posting some stoke. Been waiting 2 months for a day like yesterday at the Wood. No subtitles, no music, just skiing. Be nice.
upper bowl a bit wind affected but everything else is muy bueno. lotta folks at the trailheads this am. its gonna go fast in the sun
Jeezus tittyfuckin Kerrrist! KW is putting out the best 4 inches she's put out all season.

Took the dog out for a short tour, skied some NW facing stuff around 10am today and it was awful. Crusty, grabby, gross. Now it wasn't very high up, nor protected from the sun, but it got baked fast.
Interested to hear what other folks encountered.
Like everyone said, Squaw was fun as shit the last few days. Weds was pretty damn good, Thursday was unbelievable and Fridays lunch break was a success.
As far as the line at Granite, it blew a bag of dicks, on the 4th lap. The first 2 there was 0 line, the 3rd lap there was a small line, 4th one sucked. Then we went to try and get Broken Arrow but broken ass squaw didnt open it, thanks. Then skied KT and Red dawg, 0 line at red dawg and money ass snow until like 1.
Friday got out for a lunch break and holy hell did the snow change. Heavy and chopped up most places. Got a lap on Granite Peak and it was still pretty sweet/untouched in spots. Palisades Extra Chute scared the shit out of me with the flattest light ever but its never openend so I had to give er. C2 was awesome with soft landings.
Man I miss the ol squaw when it still snowed regularly.
March 7th
Secondsies on the handrail wooo
Saw a few others hit it before we got there. First time skiing that line. Its a little sketch on Praxis Powderboards with no side cut.
Jakes se gully up, trees skiers right down, great untracked snow.
Nobody there. WTF? Not complaining though, but everyone was skiing the north side, out b.state park.
Great day.

I got held up for a few minutes leaving Tamarack/Mt Rose Summit around 1:30 this afternoon by a small slide that closed the southbound lane of Mt. Rose highway just north of the summit. NNE aspect, 6" crown, 15' wide, 50' above the roadway, 40-45 degree slope angle. There was a set of snowboard tracks adjacent to it, but no tracks leading into it (thankfully). NHP and Mt. Rose ski patrol responded, and CareFlight circled the area a few times w/o landing.
What is this Heavy snow people are talking about ?

Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
i love days like today...
went to bed thinking the snow would be atrocious based on yesterday afternoon.
then this morning i got to squaw and was all butt hurt about the crowd...
then i made one turn and realized the snow was great again (yay overnight wind).
the KT line was bad at first, but minimal (2-4 minutes) between noon and 2:00.
lots of fun laps.
Still waiting...
Just in case anyone wants some light all-purpose skis with heavy bindings:

chatted with someone briefly at the TH headed for some coulie then later came across these entrance tracks:![]()
Standard descent on the town bike was fantastic, though the winds were doing their thing up high and the sun was doing it's thing on the corresponding exposures, lot's of point releases to be seen.
Has anyone seen Undercover Boss with Andy Wirth that aired yesterday? I thought it was pretty good. Those 4 employees got some nice perks. CBS website has it as well.

Assume some mag can take the credit here...Lhasa Pows visible in the videos. Looks like a very lucky moment for someone....
Saw it. It was basically an infomercial. And man, I really have been digging those family friendly groomers at Alpine this season! Can't wait until they do a winch job on Scott Chute, Waterfall and Palisades. Maybe I'll learn to snowboard and go through the terrain park!
