Vibes to any near water... splat I would help but I'm stuck on the east coast. ...

Damn. Started thinking today was the day. Afraid of winds tomorrow more than rain. Enjoy Dheli.
Still considering. Forecasts are a bit cooler on this morning's run
Rose is closed. I'm desperate to ski tomorrow any ideas of where might be good, because right now it's looking like nowhere with the warm temps rolling in tonight.
I'm gathering shovels and heading to Home Depot for plastic after a sleepless night just thinking about the impending disaster. I'll be there by noon.
Thanks, everyone, for your help. Really.
Why don't all you hopefuls in reno go help out splat. The skiing sucks and it's going to get worse. Right now someone who's hooked up friends and strangers alike in this place really needs some help. That's reality. Unicorns and pixies turning this disaster coming into a pow day tomorrow is NOT reality. Do something productive.Rose is closed
Besides the comet that killed the dinosaurs nothing has destroyed a species faster than entitled white people.-ajp
NOAA has increased the extent of its flooding forecast on the truckee. extending the 25-yr event (pretty devastating) further upstream in reno from the vista gauge.

I know this ain't a photo album, and you have been a bit of a nancy, but this post is spot on. Especially if you are nearby. Hell, folks are coming from as far as Sac. Go help out a mag in need for sure. From down here in the coast, I'm doing my best and sending vibes. I'll by a beer for anyone who helps Pat out, the next time I see ya. Honor system applies.
Sun is out right now in Santa Cruz, so at least we are seeing a little break.
It turned into a shitstorm, wet wet wet
Hello darkness my old friend
Rain rain go away come back....
....never
Driving up to Rainstar tomorrow.

When I left KW today at 12:30 they hadn't opened 6 or 10 and it sounded like they weren't going to due to the HIGH avi danger. Patrol had done one full round of snow safety work along the ridge from WW to Pali and areas were still sliding so they had to re-bomb every area a second time so the condos and 2nd homes would not be taken out when the monsoon comes tomorrow. It rained all day there, the snow was mank, and all my gear was soaked by noon, however, I did see a fucking insane rainbow on my drive back to SLT.
"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. The winds will blow their freshness into you, and the storms, their energy. Your cares and tensions will drop away like the leaves of Autumn." --John Muir
"welcome to the hacienda, asshole." --s.p.c.
Was it a double rainbow?
Splat hope thing are all good down the hill.

Sending vibes your way Pat, if there is anything I can do from SLC don't hesitate to ask. Wish I was there to help.
Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winnfield: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?
I'd absolutely lend a hand if I wasn't stuck halfway across the country until after the excitement ends. We are no strangers to floods where I live so I know just how rough they can be. I wish I could do more than send vibes.
As a first time visitor keeping an eye on things before showing up... your weather is completely bonkers. I can't even figure out if showing up next week is a good idea, much less what gear to bring. Powder skis, goulashes, rock skis, combat boots, groomer skis, windproof SCUBA gear? This is some of the craziest weather I've tried to decipher. Just an endless supply of liquid pouring down that appears to be all altitude based in terms of snow vs rain. In CO I'm used to reports that are more like "It's gunna snow" or "It ain't gunna snow".
Called Splat about 3 from Incline Lake Peak and he said he had things under control with helpers sandbagging, etc. Still, wouldn't hurt to send him a note if you're available to help since flooding peaks Sunday PM at PM Gear. I'm offering him a ticket to the Backcountry Film Festival tomorrow night, supposing he catches up on sleep. Hope to see any and all there!
