Even sometimes when I'm snowboarding I'm like "Hey I'm snowboarding! Because I suck dick, I'm snowboarding!" --Dan Savage
Just ask one of the wonderful friendly people in the KT-22 lift line. They are always happy to help fellow skiers, and they share in the mutual bond of the ski brethren. Alternately seek out a mountain biking videographer with a penchant for leg humping; he loves people driving through his neighborhood, I'm sure he'll love you parking in his lawn.
parking lot at bottom of road by 7-11 is ok, don't know about the summit, though.

Alpine parking is perplexing me lately as well. Full lot yesterday, yet the mountain didn't really seem very crowded, at least after I rolled in at 11am. Where do all these people go?
Sure were plenty of people leaving Squaw at 3:30.
I have to give a big shout out to the guys at Alpenglow for getting me back out on the mountain after a new binding crapped out on me this weekend. Not purchased from them, but they went above and beyond to get me back up and running. Another shop in town (that I won't bother to flame) could've done the same but declined. I know where my business is headed in the future.
Alpenglow gets a shout out from me too. Those guys stayed well after closing hours to help me with my boots.
Did a couple quick laps yesterday at a NE facing area north of the mason dixon. The dust on crust was actually kind of fun, and a little tough to negotiate if you went for the steep skin back up.
Two tracks down the center of this photo. Looked like these two had a nice run. Is this anyone from here? (Edit: Yep)

Made it out at Squaw for an hour late in the afternoon. The snow was actually better than yesterday. Far from great, but the underlying crust was a little softer and the dust was starting to become a little chalky.
Rose b/c was pretty nice today...lots of untracked shallow pow. Waay better than I expected.

Alpenglow is excellent. They deserve your business. I worked there in the mid-90's. Spoke to the new owner when I was in Tahoe in Jan. I was impressed.
Mike Schwartz and his crew at The Backcountry have always treated me right. Also worth visiting
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.

thanx shaky. usually my preferred location for conditions such as these.
Is that what they're calling dust-on-crust these days then?
Squaw was sooo crowded on Saturday it was freaky! Lines out the door of the Rentals!
KT Saddle from the Funi looked like an ant-hill, it had so many on it (only way down in the am). It was pretty brutal conditions (Saddle bumps skied nice eventually)
Sugarbowl on Sunday was so much more fun with the little bit of fresh, I mean "untracked shallow pow".
HEY MAGGOTS!!
There are a bunch of us, and the SkiBus, headed to KW on Superbowl Sunday.
Hoping the slopes are empty, and "The Banzai" doesn't close off too much.
Lets make it a Partay?
(Also Headed to HV on Thursday, and AM on Saturday, if you wanna say yo!)
...Remember, those who think Global Warming is Fake, also think that Adam & Eve were Real...
I'm guessing a lot of places are gonna be empty on Sunday considering snow and some sporting event. Although looks like some people are having some fun. Nice tracks all around folks.
Where's the "Superbowl"? Sounds like some great skiing!![]()
I can't remember...
the skiing is still good, and the superbowl starts late.
yesterday wasn't bad at all

Very Nice! Now that was some well chosen music!
Any prognosticators wanna prognosticate as to whether south-ish-facing aspects will corn up nicely by this weekend? Looking like warm sunny days in the 40's-50's and cooler nights in the 20's for a while.
^^^^^yessss. in fact it was already well on its way today. should be fully ripe by sat
