Odd Job - Driving west or north? I've got a trailer I need pulled to AK...

calling all mags - I've got a small carolina skiff on a trailer in NJ. It weighs no more than 750 lbs including motor, stuff in it, and trailer.

I'm looking at getting it up here to AK, but I've got a line on getting it at least out to SLC for now so that is a potential pick-up point.

If you're making a ski pilgrimmage, and can tow a small trailer, let me know. Anywhere closer to Alaska would be better (so Montana, PNW, etc) could help, but if you're making the long drive up to AK why not cover a bunch of gas money in the process?

Note: Crossposted here, so that is probably the "better" thread -

If no one can help you out here, check uship.com... I just used them successfully to get some furniture from southern Utah up to Boulder, CO. Super cheap compared to other shipping/freight companies I researched online.

You might want to consider getting it to Seattle and then putting it on a barge... that's how I move all my equipment up there!
"I'm looking pretty good, don't you think?" - the other says "watching you ski is like watching a retarded monkey rollerblade on a gravel road"

Thanks for the tips guys. I've been looking at both options and barges right now are in the $2500 range and uship has been similar (or more).

That's why I'm really looking for someone already making the trip.

Z - just looked into it and something like $80/lf Bellingham to Juneau. So around $1500.

My scheme of buying a cheap light suv/truck in nj/PA, driving 4500 miles with boat in tow, and reselling up here is sounding better every day except for all the vacation time I'd burn.
