stripped binding mount advice, needed soon!

So I hit an icy bump yesterday on my Spats, and I blew the Salomon toe completely off the ski. The other toe almost came off too. I tried screwing it back on, but two of the holes were completely stripped and i blew it off again.

I'm now debating on whether to use the helicoil route, or I've heard that using steel wool plus epoxy works well too. I'm afraid of using T-bolts on the Spats.....any suggestions for a strong hold?

Steel wool and epoxy all the way. Totally fucking bomber! Only down side is that you won't be able to ever unscrew the bindings.

To put a metal helicoil in correctly, you need to tap the new hole larger for the insert and might end up with the same thing happening again. And the plastic-type inserts are a piece of shit.

    double ditto

fill hole w/epoxy, stuff steel wool in, wipe surface.

You want to make sure all voids have epoxy in them. Don't trust the epoxy to make it's way to the bottom of the hole by simply putting epoxy on top of the wool.
