Rain expected up to around 9500' in the San Juans...WWMD?

Then 4-8 inches of snow expected above that.

does this mean the snow will be super wet, slushy mess?

is it worth it to drive down there solo in the dark wet/icy roads tonight and sleep in my truck?

    WWMD?

Well, considering the base of Wolf Creek is somewhere around 10,100' and Silverton/Telluride you should be just fine. Quit being a moron.

Probably not worth the drive. Summit eagle is supposed to get 4-6.
2 extra inches wouldnt be worth it.

thats what i was thinking at first....and all my friends will be skiing up this way tomorow..

ill most likely be solo and have to spend money if i go south...

but san juan forecasts are pretty danm reliable...

4-6 here could mean nothing, 2 inches, or 12 inches....

    shit...tough choice!

My advice. Most snow forecasts for southern CO this year have been underestimating actual snowfall.

Sack up, drive to Wolf Creek and ski fat pow. Those of us who cannot make to Wolf Creek will be quite jealous of you. If you don't go, we will be disappointed in you.

    Easy decision. GO!

I would shut your mouth and go ski, if I was you. If you really need us to figure out whether you will get a deal on a ticket because you work at another resort, someone should make sure your parents don't procreate again.

Go to the Wolf. There will be so much untracked, deep, cold pow you will actually shit your pants! Seriously...Summit or Eagle do not compare right now...You know the Spats are taunting you...

    The Wolf Creek Ski Report
    Ski Patroller : Scott
    Office Reporter : Kat
    Report Date : 2/12/2005
    Report Time : 6:39:05 AM

    Current Snowfall
Summit Base Depth : 152 inches
    Last 24 Hours : 9 inches
    Last 48 Hours : 9 inches
    Last 72 Hours : 9 inches
    Last 7 Days : 35 inches
Midway Base Depth : 137 inches

    Latest Storm : 9 inches
Year to Date : 325 inches

Other than today's ski report from WC, I got nothin...I would not say that Summit or Eagle Counties suck. They just have not had as much snow as what the Wolf Creek area has. If that was the target area in question.

Last weekend just before the 35 inches they just received we were able to find UNTRACKED powder with minimal effort. There was simply no one there to ski it...It is always that way! With 9" yesterday it will be that way for the next week...

Now I am off to Summit or Eagle Counties to go ski tomorrow...
