Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

It's just coffee, folks. Believe it or not, it's not that hard to make yourself! This morning I got two sprinkle donuts and a coffee for $2.96, and I didn't have to get out of my car, which is what sells it for me. I don't get out much so I don't know life without Dunkin Donuts, and can't imagine one not succeeding ANYWHERE. In New England they're EVERYWHERE. The Providence College Friars play in the Dunkin Donut Center fer chrisssakes! BTW, they are franchised. Also, in my town you can go to Elaine's bakery and talk to nice, fat Elaine, or to Dunkin Donuts and leer at a hot high school chick as she reveals her tender cleavage while leaning out the drive through window. It depends on your mood.

So after reading this line last night I had to stop on the way home and get DD coffee and then go next door and get KK donuts. You're right, that's the near perfect match!

On another Dunkin' Donuts note, not only are they enfranchised, but they are also partnered with Togo's and Baskin Robbins, so donuts & coffee are not your only options And just to reiterate the dominance of Dunkin' Donuts, in my hometown there are three within 100 yards of each other, there is one full size stand-alone store, as well as one in the Mobil gas station and one inside of the Stop & Shop. Not only that, but there is another 1-2miles up the street on the opposite side of the highway, and another about 4miles away in the center of town.

How's that for controlling the market

One Krispy Kreme glazed = 16 grams of heart stopping fat.

Coffee, my travels to the mid-west and east coast, people flip over the coffee at DD. So as a coffee whore, I gave it a try. Very good drip american coffee. But then I was thinking, it might taste so good because I'm using the coffee to wash down a glazed donut.

Definitely better that Starbucks. IMO Starbucks is horrid for drip coffee, it might be the way they make it I don't know. Snobish remark #1, I usually get an Americano if I HAVE to go to one. Well, I have to get coffee in the morning, plain and simple.

7-11, over the last couple of years has improved....I don't mind it at all.

McDonalds coffee.....might as well drink molten asphalt.

SF - Greydon clark has a Turkish place in the Mission that seems to keep him wired for weeks.

Local joints in SF - Cup of Joes, Royal Ground on Polk have kick ass drip.

Peet's coffee in CA, is the best plain and simple. I buy beans, grind them, use a metal "grind holder" and I still cannot get it to taste like the shit I get at the coffee shop....don't know why.

Back to Donuts, One of the finest donut shops around is Bob's Donuts on Polk and Sacramento in SF. Better glazed than Mr. Kreme and about 5 times as big. Its the only place I've been to at 2 am, 2 pm, or 5 am (on the way to Kirkwood) where an old white guy, a pimp and his girl, a tranny with a ghettoblaster, and me in ski clothes.....acting as a happy family.
