    Electronic music

What do you guys think about a ski flick with tons of electronic music. Stuff with Aphex Twin, Wagon Christ, Dj Krush, yah know stuff in that kind of category of music? Seems like todays ski music gets a little stale. Some of it. The genres are so spread out it gets tiresome sometimes. One minute you are listening to punk rock and then the next you are listening to a rap song or whatever. I thought about keeping the music at the same pace. Have it all similar in ways to keep the transition from segment to segment easier to get in to. Just wondering what your opinions are.

It could work, but some of that stuff is unaccessible to some listeners. Check out skier666's mixes. That's some of the stuff I ski to.

I don't think I'd be too into it. I like electronic music, but I can't sit through a whole album without doing something more active than watching TV. Perhaps a segment or two would be fantastic. In the same sense, I'd go to Ibiza for a weekend, but a week would be way too much.
The heavy metal and crappy hip hop that dominates most movies is a little souless for me these days. Mix it up with something more inspired. High Life did a pretty good job on the soundtrack.

Minus the metallica. I know why it's in there, but they need to lose that crap.

i would say it would work. as long as it stays w/ the drum&bass stuff like DJ Shadow, Dj Krush, Dj Logic.... nothing too wierd and no techno of course

edit: also, some hiphop/rap instrumentals like the older bike movies, wu instrumentals might work very nicely

The scandinavian ski movie : The scanners has some great synth/pop, electronica tunes.
