Sweet. It almost sounds like the guy in the song is saying "we'll ski straight, it'll take my blues away."

    Cool

Wish I lived a bit closer to B'ham to access some of that stuff.

    BakerBunny-
Nice thread. I needed that 'pick me up' You are really killing it for the PNW.

The Central Cascades not so hot right now. Can't wait to go touring near Baker this weekend.

And you're right- altitude is everything- in the last 500 vert. on Heather Ridge- we saw snowpack go from about 1.5 feet or so to upwards of 3'-4', maybe 5' in windloaded aspects.

Good to see some non bitching from the great northwest.
hmmn...easy for you to say when you didn't spend $600 on a pass (or $1000 for the unfortunate Crystal peeps) and not be able to use it (even one day) Sure, there's some backcountry- but, which we are certainly trying to tap- but sucks when you toss out a couple hundred$.
Oh well, it'll come next year.

True, there's finally some decent snow at the very highest of elevations- but that really didn't fill in until last weekend's storm. Believe me, when we can start getting more stoke like BakerBunnys, there will be less comments from the Peanut Gallery up here.
