No job is supposed to be soul crushing...
You gotta find balance in everything. You get the right mix of family, work, cash and the great outdoors and all is good.![]()
I just moved to Montana.
I have seen the real world. Avoid it at all costs.
true that! you dont to be pretty or talented to be pretty and talented in Montana!
Bump to see if anyone who moved to a ski town during this thread is still around and still in a ski town.
I think climbhoser moved to Akron because that's where he has the most value for this world.
I hadn't posted in the original thread, but I remember it clearly because it was around the time we got the hell out of Denver and moved back to the mountains.
6 years in, still here, still riding high. Pretty much won the poor person/working class lotto for Aspen. Both of us have normal, real, 9-5, non-resort/non-hospitality jobs, own a decent employee housing condo on the cheap, both ski/bike/hike 3-4 days week, just got my TGR Euro AWD/MT/Turbo wagon (the 3rd beater Subaru finally gave out), and still have pretty much no money, savings or future financial prospects. Totally worth it.
