We have some friends that hook us up with Kings tickets every so often and my daughter has been getting dissed on going. She finally she put her foot down.
Getting ready to hit the road.
We arrived just before the “tip” and got to our seats (about 6 rows up on the second level). The seats are $24.50 and well worth it.
After taking a big lead at the beginning we let the Nicks back in and they eventually took an 11 point lead.
At halftime we grabbed some grub and bought some Kings shirts. Six minutes into the 4th quarter we moved down to the lower level about 5 rows from the floor! It was so cool and different to be looking “up” to the players and basket…not down.
We still couldn’t get back in the game until the last 42 seconds…but when they did, they did big scoring 7 points.
Brad Miller 2 feet above Marbery takes a nice hack from Thomas.
Bibby getting ready to get to the foul line.
And make it. Nice box out by the Nicks...too bad there was nothing but net to rebound.
9.7 seconds left and its tied 115 to 115!!!
Kings get the ball and are immediately fouled, only making one and taking a one point lead. Nicks take a time out.
The Kings dancers heading back to my secret lair.
Nick’s ball with 7 second left and they can’t score due to some great “D” by Matt Barnes.
We win by one!!!
Couldn’t ask for a better game, my daughter loved it. Getting down on the lower level was memorable too. Other highlights include a Bibby career high with 40 points.
Here is a short mpeg of the last sequence of the game. One thing I noticed was how much louder it is down near the floor.

Staying after has its benefits too. Haley scored a ball.
