Bartending Jobs in Denver/Golden

Hey guys,

I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I'm getting a bit on the desperate side.

I just moved from Burlington, Vermont to Golden, Colorado for graduate school and was wondering if anyone has any connections within the Denver/Golden bar scene. I'm looking for something part-time, preferably nights. I know this is a long shot, but might as well give it a try as craigslist emailing isn't yielding anything yet.

I'm pretty sure this hasn't gotten anyone a job slingin' drinks ever. You've got to go in and actually talk to someone...you know...like face to face...old school. Make yourself a list of bars in Golden (edit: holy shit Denver too?). Go it and get your self a drink before it gets busy. Note the vibe, check the scene, is it somewhere you would consider working? If so find out if the manager/hire/fire dude is around. Talk to him or her/ go from there. In in employment game, initiative is rewarded. Give it a shot.
