Photo TR: Hiking in Crested Butte

Cross posted from the Photo forum... more eyes here.

My wife and I spent the last week in Crested Butte hiking, biking, and enjoying everything else the area has to offer. We did a few "new to us" hikes since it's been a down year for wildflowers, but the scenery was outstanding as always. It's amazing to me that at each of these locations, we were the only ones there despite all the people in town and the fact that we weren't far from civilization. Crested Butte delivers once again.

Mt. Crested Butte and an old mining shaft from just outside of town:

And finally, the meandering road/trail leading from Crystal up to Schofield Pass:

Did you run into any cows on the lost lake hike? Our dogs didn't know what to make if them. funny looking deer in the woods.

Not on the hike, but we saw a bunch on the road leading to the camping area, and we saw some up in the trees above Dollar Lake.
