    TGR=Film of the year (again)

Okay so the difference between TGR & MSP, by the lemon boy:

For one, while I did get good and drunk I wasn't ROARING drunk so I paid a bit more attention:

    1. Proof once again - TGR = Lines and skiing, MSP = Stunts.
    2. Pow De Pow Pow Pow, good god do I love pow skiing.
    3. I can't believe people are complaining about JP's segment  Ever hear of a thing called a JOKE? apparently not.
    4. Pow De Pow POW POW
    5. You know it is deep when guys on Big Daddies are completely white roomed.

As always I like the TGR offerings so much more than MSP and this year is no exception. Big skiing. Very little jibbin (thanks). Good soundtrack, as always best movie going.

Coming Next Thursday: Lemon's hung over review of "Core" Nat's new tele flick.

KevinD seems to think Jamie Pierre is an alright guy so I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

After all, nobody could be so dumb as to first complain that he doesn't get credit for the skill he has and then to turn around and subsequently state that all it takes are balls, thus nixing his previous argument.

I'd watch his skiing all day long, but the asshole act is a bit of a drag.

    Thumbs up

I liked SM3 way better than the prophecy, but I think High Life was hands down the better ski flick this year.

Sage's segment was awesome, but all the reviews from others had me expecting more. I don't think he got upside down once in the entire flick. However, he did have some nice spin combos in the park and throw 3's in some pretty insane terrain.

I was also expecting Jamie Pierrre to have said something far worse by the previous reviews. I'm sure the guy takes a lot of shit from jibbers and he's just giving his response. I respect the fact that the guy goes big, but he's not right in the head. The snowmobile jumping thing was ridiculous. Him saying he can huck on a snowmobile with no snowmobile experience is just like saying anyone can huck on skis like he does without any experience. It was pretty clear it takes some skill after he wrecked himself 3 times on the sled.

Kent Kreitler. What can you say. Segment of the year IMO. He tricked off everything and stuck everything. 3s, 7s, off-axis 7s, fronts, backs, etc...The most diverse cliff tricking I've seen in a flick ever and he made it look easy. It's cool to see an old dog learning new tricks and kicking ass. I got so pumped during Kreitlers seg I just about hucked the balcony on to the people below.

The Collins bros didn't make as impressive a showing as their old Wind-up days. It seems like most of TGRs athletes came from Wind-up... sage, jamie, matt, chris, rick.

The editing was good, the soundtrack was good and the skiing was off the hook.

Hanging with Foggy and Jibij was good for some laughs as well. A great crew. I ran into Lemon Boy for a second, but I think he's afraid of hanging with maggots or something. Hyrupz was in the house as well.

Jibij scored a shirt and I walked away with some gloves. Overall a great night and a killer flick.

The Black and Nobis section in Alta Badia did it for me. Rappelling over ice bulges in monster couloirs - that sort of thing never gets boring. For me anyway.

About half way through watching the movie I had the feeling that this could be a classic, but I felt it lost a little momentum in the second half. Agree with you on KK. When I first started watching his seggy, I thought "OK, here we go. Fading star trying to hang with the new kids" but Kreitler threw down. Without wishing to get all epic on you, I just think his form through turns is really elegant - the mark of a true big mountain rider.

Says something about his mental stability.

KS, yeah we've got her a season pass and some twin boards. She's pumped for this season. We'll be out tomorrow.

Rev, get down to UT for turkey day. That would kick ass. You know you've got lodging and I'd be willing to strangle an elderly man in the bathroom and give his pass to you (at that age they rarely perform autopsies and just credit to the death to a strenuous bowel movement).
