30 or so of which shouldn't be mentioned.
I imagine Bill Wyman with an oxygen tank at his side somewhere.
Edit: But, getting a groupie blow job.

Hope there's one last tour left in em.
I still call it The Jake.
Have fun seeing the geriatrics rehash their 20s/30s.

Apparently, time is indeed on their side.
I still call it The Jake.
damn, i saw them in 1981 and thought they were old then. awesome show and even better with van halen (fair warning tour) opening for them.
Really; old + good music=win, young + bad music=fail
OK just to complete the diagram: old or young + good music = win, old or young + bad music = fail
What makes you say that? Just because I think they made their best music in the 60s and 70s? i don't give a fuck about anybody rehashing the same shit for 30 years. They made great music and then made shit music. Then they just toured and played their best. Why did they stop making great music? I feel the same about all bands that just rest on their laurels and make money hand over fist from suckers like you that will go see them play the same songs over and over and over again for 30 years.
you gotta wonder how many people would have laughed at you to your face if, in 1972, you told them that the rolling stones would still be alive and playing music in 2012.
Grown up with them in a way...
1st show, 1981, only 250 peops, Sir Morgan's Cove, Worcestor:
Last show, 2nd row, Fenway Park, 2005:
Both were two of the best live concerts I've ever seen.

Screw the net, Surf the backcountry!
nice BD!
they were my first show.
Hartford Civic Center '81
i was sixteen, and had both killer Colombian Gold and hash oil at that time.
my two bud's, i went with, rolled bones with the oil drizzled lightly. holy shit we had fun.
there was a Ticketron located in the local pharmacy around the corner from my high school. when word broke that Stone's tickets were on sale, the school basically cleared out. i called my Mom from the high school lobby and asked if it was cool. she met me at the pharmacy with money for three tickets! nobody got in trouble at school. easy 80's.
caught them again in Foxboro on Steel Wheels tour, it rocked!

Listen to Exile on Main Street today.
One of the best albums ever is 50 today
ALSO
Live at the El Mocambo 1977 was finally cleaned up and released. Great young funky Stones
My first real concert as well. For sure their best stuff was in the 60's & 70's but that doesn't diminish their greatness.

I saw em last year here in town and for 3 hours straight they wailed. Nice tribute to Charlie and had Chuck Leavell sitting in with them the whole show.
Incredible stuff. Sounded amazing and never stopped moving.
I still call it The Jake.
i gotta head for a long drive to give this a deep dive. dude runs most bands through the mud so this should be epic:
