Forbes has them listed as the 3rd most valuable college football program in the nation. If anything they generate surplus revenue that goes back into the rest of the University, I know Texas does. That program ain't shutting down any time soon.

Actually it is NOT a state run institution. PSU is one of 4 "state associated" schools in PA. They get about 8% of their budget from tax dollars and the state has little say in what goes on there. But yes, fuck them.

Saying Paterno was a good man and there's no proof, and he came from an era that men didn't rape boys or had gay sex, yada yada yada.
