The World Is Officially Fucked (Penn State)

It turns out that protecting and enabling pedophiles is very good for business... The whole fucking place and their contributors should be cleared from the earth.

So, the graduates of the institution, that knew nothing of what was going on, should burn their alma mater to the ground? Are you a fucking moron?

If you are worth a salt...you rally around things you love in times of trouble...maybe you call for heads (the leaders of the football program or the dean, for example), but it only makes sense you would show support through donations or some other means.

Since day one I've advocated closing their football program and they pay player's tuition at the school they transfer to. Cut out the cancer. Ten years they can start over.

Forbes has them listed as the 3rd most valuable college football program in the nation. If anything they generate surplus revenue that goes back into the rest of the University, I know Texas does. That program ain't shutting down any time soon.

Thank you for capitalizing the "T"...

It is important to have aspirations and goals.

When times of trouble include shielding a predator to protect your fucking football program, well, come on, lets be real. Have some sense of perspective.

College sports is so wrong in so many ways it is nearly impossible to comprehend. Has the almighty NCAA even had a thing to say- probably too busy ruling wether a cel phone call to a recruit was improper.

Re original thread topic: Sounds pretty standard for cult behavior. First the mind-wipe, then rebuild the neuronal pathways, then send them out among us to spread the word. And of course, when challenged, circle the wagons, stonewall, shift blame, deny deny deny

Doesn't sound any different than any other shit hitting the fan scenario, from a married couple to the gov't.

The NCAA should be coming down on Penn State like a ton of bricks on this as the facts are showing that the admin. and Paterno knew something was going on.

Actually it is NOT a state run institution. PSU is one of 4 "state associated" schools in PA. They get about 8% of their budget from tax dollars and the state has little say in what goes on there. But yes, fuck them.

Yeah, at least we have the Olympics barreling down on us to show the world what true class AAA corruption in so called amateur sports is all about, to distract our attention.

I'm good friends with several Penn State grads, and many of them are no longer the die-hard football fans they used to be after all of this went down. And the JoePa emails recently released only reinforced this more for them - yeesh. So some of them do get it.

I was listening to sports radio this morning. Some doctor Penn alum called in and was completely defending Paterno. He was freaking brainwashed. Saying Paterno was a good man and there's no proof, and he came from an era that men didn't rape boys or had gay sex, yada yada yada. It was disturbing how honestly this guy believed this shit and defended the guy.
