I put this up in Gear Swap, but probably a better fit here. Would it be considered appropriate/necessary to kill the Gear Swap thread?
For sale: three unused Canon brand NB-6L lithium-ion batteries. 3.7v, 1000mAh.
They are for Canon S95 and similar cameras. I bought them new for a trip this April, charged them, and never used them -- turns out they last longer than I thought. I paid $38 apiece, which is pretty much standard retail (it's hard to avoid paying full retail on these). You can buy off-brand batts for a whole lot less but I read enough terrible reviews to stick with the real thing. I have the original packaging etc, for what it's worth.
25 bucks each, or 60 for all three. Or something sensible for two. Or if you think this is ridiculous, offer me something that's not.
Local transaction (Boulder/Denver/etc) would be simplest, but shipping these oughta be cheap because they're tiny.
Do they? I was certainly tempted. But I ran into a slew of reviews that suggested the contrary and was headed to remote AK for a while and didn't want to be suddenly camera-less.
On a somewhat related note, I just ordered an off-brand batt for the old makita (drill) and am hoping it'll stand up to the task.
