Scuba #2 where to bum it?

Anybody have any good info on scuba bumming things. Don't mind eating out of cans or living in a tent. Just want to save money so I can dive more cool places. Anybody have any ideas on bumbing it in scubba locations?

Edit: I'm definately into spearfishing for food if we can. I have family who will likely go down with me to the Keys that have lived on a boat for years. My best collegge friend lives in San Diego if that makes a difference but I wanna do some crazy tour. Maybe even a TR with PICS if I can afford it. Totally intto bumbing it in otheris places of the world like the Red Sea, Belize, Austrailia, etc.. I know that one place everybody recommends is Bsomething. Thanks for that suggestion. Any other cool places around and any strategies for bumbing? Thailand....????? I'll give you the man on girlboy/tape session for some good advice. We could become porn profiteers. with the big girls. I'm into anything that might extend fun including porn.

My roommate from college and I did three months in the Bahamas in a boat. They don't allow spearing with tanks, so we learned to freedive. IMHO, it's the way to go.

Pick up a sailboat in Fl and start working your way south?

Some of the coolest diving as far as seeing critters is in the PNW, or Monterey Bay area... plenty of motel 6's around for a bum to get their dive trip on...

not exactly tropical though, if that's what you want.

Not allowed to spear anything but Lion Fish in the Bay islands, well Roatan at least. It makes a very tasty Ceviche, however.

not allowed to spearfish on Koh Tao either, but it's cheap. bunch of those SE Asian destinations (Thailand, Indonesia, etc) seem to have a roving cast of european "experts" (i.e. they've taken one more class than you) getting paid/comped to teach diving.

I missed the spearfish thing, most places with exotic coral reefs limit that for obvious reasons. Plenty of places on the Pacific coast in Mexico to spearfish and bum.

Utila was the cheapest/most dirtbag of the Bay islands and was at one point the cheapest place to dive in the western hemisphere

    http://www.crosscreekutila.com/en/utila/

^^they were the largest dive center and had the best equipment/biggest boat which they often rented to the other outfit when i was there

if you don't speak spanish its ok cuz they all speak english cuz i think they are all descended from pirates

jets used to fly into Roatan from Miami
