    The last time I saw a Kirkland bag of coffee, it said Starbucks in the fine print, so I'm guessing that they will try to partner with similar players in the liquor biz. For instance, everyone seems to think Kirkland Vodka is made by Grey Goose.

    My point was more along the lines of competing for shelf space, which translates to availability. Is Costco, or Haggen, or Fred Meyer, etc. going to bother with quality and/or independent stuff when they could put higher volume products in the same space?

    I buy expensive shit, but don't drink a lot. So, it works out. Except wine. Wine is just expensive for how easy it is to drink.
