Michigan Mags - Good vet recs?

Would you by any chance happen to know a good vet in the D-town area? I need to get the little stinker spayed before she starts bleeding all over the stinking house.

I live in Monroe, we took our old pooch to a place Downriver: Riverview Animal Hospital (Ask for Dr. Cook, he is the best of the group). There is also a joint in Taylor-tucky that a breeder/kennel highly recomended (although I was not fond of the doc's personality). The name escapes me (I know it is on Telegraph).
What side of town are you on? I work with quite a few folks that have dogs (some of them of the snooty/show dog caliber) and they are spread out in various parts of Metro D. I could try to get a recommendation for you.

I live in Wayne area. I'm not looking for a super fancy vet or anything just a place that affordable and freindly. I was taking to a vet select but the place was charging me almost double what other vets were charging. It's hard to find a clean decent place that doesn't charge a arm and a leg.

A lady that works for my wife lives in Wayne and has two dogs, both in great shape. Further, I doubt they are the type to go after a fancy, expensive vet. My wife tried to call her, but got the answering machine. She'll ask tomorrow at work and I'll get back to you on here or via PM.

They're both bitches (the dogs, not my wife and her friend). So I'll also see if she can get an idea on what it cost for the spay. ...so glad I am not a dog.

Kershaw Animal Hospital on Wayne Rd in Liv. No info on spay price, they actually never had that done because this lady's husband thinks he might make a buck by breeding them someday ... Besides, probably a different price for cats than dogs.
