Rant: I want my friggin skis

So I ordered a pair of Arm-x skis 2 weeks ago.

    http://www.qsnowboards.com/Produit.a...S173-1003-1004

    Very nice looking no?

    So I wait and wait...
    No skis

So I email the folks over there for a tracking number- put it in and get the message:

THE SHIPMENT CONTAINS A RESTRICTED COMMODITY. IT IS BEING PROCESSED BASED ON THE SENDER'S INSTRUCTIONS

And its still at the friggin canadian border!

Since when were skis restricted commodities?

Anybody else heard of such problems?

Not sure, my father had a problem with a shipment of pool tables or arcade games because they were being held by customs. They were in a container along with various other items being brought into the states, which also contained boxes of wine that someone was attempting to smuggle in tax free, etc. If your shipment arrived in a container, there are an endless amount of possibilities as to what else it arrived with, and its quite possible the entire contents of the container would be held, not simply the item in question. Hope that helps and you get them soon!

I know how you feel, I have my warranteed tankers and my brand spanking new Big Daddies (mtnlion is da mang) sitting in my living room waiting for some binders that are in the mail. I am going cat skiing with the whole family in 10 days time and I WANT MY BINDINGS!!! They were sent over a week ago so I don't have a lot to complain about but I actually left school in the middle of the day to see if they had arrived yet. I am almost doing a pee dance each day in anticipation.
Recently overheard: "Hey Ralph, what were you drinking that time that you set your face on fire?"
