I kinda like when Maggots post pix in the instruction forum and ask for critique - like SELDON..
"Thanks for the suggestions - as much shit as you guys get slung over at tgr, there is definitely some content here that's impossible to get over there."

Dammit, that one didn't work. You'll know which one it is if you look at their thread.

I love this guy's picture--he lists himself being from dirty jerzy, or something like that.

This is a guy that once posted that there was no way his boots were shot; they were only 15 years old!

Seriously though, that site is great if you need a few laughs. For instance, check out this thread, "Wifey Wiped Out" http://forums.epicski.com/showthread.php?t=23923

Granted I've read some very stupid things on the site here, but the reality of the situation is not subjective preference,it is an empirical fact that the replys & such over there at Epic are beyond ignorant.Lets start with the name.EPIC! We aren't on the Ultra Rad Board, the Mega Awesome Board or any such facsimile.
As far as the commments about fat skis,I'm forced to quote the venerable Mr. McConkey.

" Everybody thought fat skis were gay when I 1st started skiing them.My reply was," I won't wait for you at the bottom."

Here's my story. In '96 when shape skis came out,I thought they were a gimmick;I knew how to ski & Thought I didn't need any help.I was skiing on Salomon 9100 equipe 2's at the time.It was a bad dust on crust day at the Basin when I met a bunch of guys from the Keystone rental shop. They were all skiing on K2 Fours. They were the 1st shop in the country to have them in their fleet. They all swore by them.I was not moved to try them.I took them to the Wave on the divide & skied down some of the worst, manky ,breakable crust around. It was not fun.I watched these guys ski down & they didn't seem to be as affected by the conditions.

At the bottom I remarked how sucky it was & how worked I was from it.They replyed that it wasn't that bad.I asked ,"Did you have different conditions on the aspect you skied."They all said,"NO It's the SKIS. "I tried a pair the next time we went out.At 1st they didn't ski very well cause I didn't know how to ski them.3rd run it clicked & I had a fabulous day of skiing.I was skiing faster & with more control than ever before.

I was the in house Salomon guy & got a free set up every year.I had 2 pr of Super force 2S's in the wrapper.I sold them at the shop & bought a pair of Fours.I haven't looked back.

If there's a new technology introduced,I'll reserve my judgement until I've tried it. Ignorance is no excuse. I'll expound the virtues of Fat skis until I die.I'll never go back.I'm trying not to pass judgement on people that don't know any better, but they're not kids that are scared to try a new dish at dinner. They are adults & should at least know better than to make assumptions based upon ignorance.I've heard similar pretentious idea's from some tele folks that rip on alpine skiing because it's so "easy" compared to Teleing.

If you want to race a Yugo on the Formula One circuit because it's much more challenging, then do so.But don't put a piece of shit in a prom dress & then try & convince me it's the bell of the ball!End of rant
