I got sucked into that one. I was gonna mention my Bros, which violate two rules: too fat, and too long.

I just read the whole thing, and laughed the whole way through. I don't know which quote is better:

Give it a year or two you will see lots of people dumping those skis.
    or

But what gets me is guys on Fat skis when there isn't any powder.
But I think the winner is:

The fatter the skis out there, the less people in mogul fields....works for me.

Well I went and stuck my picture in that thread. Must I now feel shame? Or simply face ridicule? My sweater wasn't nearly that nice mind you.

    this one is funny

"Fat skis will be around until the next big fad comes out. I predict we'll see small hydrofoils under the ski next with outriggers to go along with it. The skis will go back to 50mm under foot."

just FYI 50mm skis are just about impossible to turn in anything but groomers (trust me I've tried)

    what a bunch of gapers
Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care

It's either a woman or one of the members of Milli Vanilli. Presumably the one who isn't dead, I guess.

I'll second that response - but only if you ski out west (lotsa powdah). I have demoed a lot of powder skis for years. I really like the Volkl Explosiv (190cm, but not the twin-tip - personal choice) and Gotama (190cm), and K2 Seth Pistol and Public Enemy, Head Monster 84 (190cm), old Ti Chubb (190cm), and a vintage Atomic Powder Plus (180cm).

Powder skis should be long and fat and reasonably stiff, and the problem with twin-tips is they don't have much running surface area on the snow - but on the other hand, they're nice in the trees. What I mean by reasonably stiff - about the stiffness of an Explosiv/Gotama/G4 (a mixture of the three), but not as stiff as the Big Daddy, the Tanker, or the Monster 103. All powder skis should have thick bases and oversized edges - like Igneous and K2 do.

Hmmm. Upon further review, it is still a toss up. Only semi-non gaperesque person I saw pictured there. Oh well.

Edit- Upon further further review, I went back and looked, and sure enough- chick. She is still invited over here.

Let's face it- if your gonna have a little gender dyslexia, this is the way to do it. The reverse scenario- well, that kinda becomes more your problem.

    This is quite funny.

I hope everyone realizes that basically you're picking out pictures that look eerily similiar to many of the pictures in our own Maggot Picture Thread.

I'm gonna get some popcorn, kick my feet up, and continue to check in on the "they're a bunch of gapers but we're wicked cool" thread.

Do they want people to turn off that crazy rock & roll music too?

It never had a good name... people from Jersey just don't know any better and continue to insist it's "not all bad."

No, it once had a good name. It was called "Minisink", which was a good name.
