    I suck

My first 7 days this season were in Utah. Though three of those days were during the mini, with not-so-soft conditions, I still felt like I was skiing well. The remaining 4 days were in powder, and besides being out of shape, I felt like I was making some of my best turns in a while.

So, I come back here, ski 2 days at Wisp, and apparently I've forgotten how to ski. I went a couple weeks ago and my skis were all over the place. I had been on the Pistols for my past 15 days before this, so I chalked it up to getting back on skinnies. Well, I went back out this afternoon (skinnies again, not that it should matter), and it was just as bad. Everything felt weird. I was moving my whole body, I kept getting in the back seat...generally I felt like shit. The conditions were icey, choppey crap both times. Is it possible that I've lost the ability to ski east coast crapola?

    Damn!

I know how you feel........The first time I skied after getting back from BC I skied poorly. I just felt akward. I used some of my instructor methds to get me turning somewhat better, but I didn't really feel right until the end of the second day back on less than great terrain and snow. I haven't pinpointed what causes this.

When I do I'll let you know.
    Looking California, feeling Minnesota.

I skied EC last week for the first time this season and I sucked. I went yesterday, paid a lot of attention to where my hands were and to pressuring the front of the boot and I was okay. You can do it if I can.

My problem on the East is dodging all the people. It tends to mess up one's rhythm.

no kidding. I always wonder what kind of fun I could have if I didn't have to worry about stopping on a dime after every blind corner.
