I'll tell you what phone now! The one in your hand. You don't need a new phone. With my old crappy iPhone 3 I can do everything I need.

    Jerry Reed
    CW McCall
    Video
    phine
    Marty Robbins
    phone
    the google
    TGR
    GD
    photos
    etc....
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.

    Much larger screen (GS3).

The new maps and nav are actually really good, it's just the search that sucks. That'll change with the next update, though. I've been really impressed with the GPS, it's super accurate, fast, and works when you're outside the data connection as long as you did the route when you had data. Really impressive battery performance while GPSing too.

I guess SD cards are cool if you want to put a whole bunch of porn vids on your phone or something. I've never had space issues.

Large screen isn't much of a benefit during the 98% of the time you're trying to walk around with the thing in your pocket and not actually using it.

iPhone can send pics directly to FB.

I think Android phones are cool but they're not really that practical. I know a ton of professional devs and they all HATE Android.

So the big screen is only a benefit when you're actually using it? huh.

What's impressive is that you puke out a post that makes you sound like a Clampett, but somehow you figured out how to put that funky little circle over the A in your name (Swedish?). Go fig.

And a burden when you're not. It's like a fat pow ski - yeah, it's awesome after a 3' storm, but if you ski hardpack groomers 98% of the time it sucks.

They either just came out with or are just about to come out with a new Samsung, so the older Galaxy Nexus and S3 should be available cheaper, they do everything you can reasonably expect a phone to do. Battery life sucks though. I'd give up features for battery life.

Any updated thoughts on a new phone?

I have a Galaxy S3 that I've had for about a year and I'm done with it. I've had intermittent issues with the micro-SD card (tried two different ones) and recently it just lost everything on the card. I've also replaced the phone twice because the screen doesn't work in cold weather (40* or below, I would guess), which certainly isn't good for skiing. And then the group text (all my friends have iPhones) works with GoSMS, but isn't as seamless as I would like. Currently on Verizon with ~9months left on contract: thinking of cancelling contract, selling phone, jumping to AT&T Family Plan, getting an iPhone 5S. Family plan should also help save ~$40/month.

How's the iPhone 5s? Hot spot work well? Any AT&T service issues for Front Rangers?

I just want a phone that works, and by all indications, iPhones do that (I previously had a iPhone 3, IIRC).

Bummer about loosing data. How do you know it's the phone and not the micro-SD card? What brand cards? A friend had problems with SD cards and a camera. The problem went away when he switched to Sandisk.

When I took my Galaxy S3 skiing last year I kept it in an inside pocket when not in use and had no problem. I kept it there more for protection from getting hit and to make sure it stayed dry.

iphone??? Different strokes for different folks. Bought another Blackberry, the Q10 and could not be happier. Has wifi phone for when I am out in the boonies and I can type on the REAL fucking keyboard faster than any bs screen phone.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

I went from the Galaxy S3 to the Galaxy Note 3, recently and so far I like it a lot. The new Nexus looks great.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.
