Pictures: The Winter That Never Was

From my perspective (as a mostly-weekend warrior), this winter was an all-out FAIL. With the announcement that Loveland is closing a week early, it's safe for me to declare this ski season over. I typically get 30-35 days in a year, but this year I got seven. Yes, seven.

Let's look at the bright side.... Luckily, three of those were pretty sweet pow days, so I was able to get some decent shots of my friends. Here's what I captured from the worst winter in 30 years in Colorado. On the flip side, the mountain biking in the Front Range has been really good for the last three months! Here are some shots from the three days that were worth a damn.

Back in January, we hit an 18" day at Beaver Creek:

Then in February, we made the three hour drive to Steamboat for 50" in three days:

And finally, on 2/29 (my last day of the season), Jay and I got to Monarch with 13" overnight:

What will next season bring? Hopefully a lot more snow.

    Yep, seven. Redunkulous.

    I'm glad I didn't buy a pass this year.

Good news is two fold for me:

    1. I finally chased a pow storm to Jackson and that trip was rad.
    2. I rediscovered mountain biking after a 15 year hiatus.

Steve, we gotta coordinate some rides!

Yes, we do. Let's talk... I'm probably going to ride Centennial Cone this Saturday if you're interested.

Some really nice pics in there. I can only imagine what 35 days worth of skiing would produce.
