I actually hit some balls last week in California, off mats. God, I suck. But somehow I challenged my two cousins, who live on golf courses and play everyday, to a match next summer.

Maybe I ought to play a round or two before that happens. Or maybe get a lesson? I’m going to get destroyed.

Got my new Stealth plus head today and went to the range to dial in weighting.

This thing is clearly different than every other TM head. It's a fucking hammer

It was cold and ball was hot off the face. Lower spinning than sim2 with similar front to back weight ratio vs stock setup. Really straight too. I play a cut and I had to setup more in cut stance to get it to move.

Well, my HC went from 13.2 in May to a 14.2 on October 1. If I'm going to golf my age I need to get better faster than I age or get older faster than I get worse. I know what a golf swing feels like as I had it when I was a 9. I know what I do wrong. Backswing too fast and too long. The quest continues.

Turns out Bandon is even better than I thought. I got kicked in the teeth most of the time but how can you be mad about short sleeve shirts all week in November?

Bandon is so pure. I’ve been lucky enough to play BDunes and Ptrails. The contrast between the great wide open of four green and five tee to the hemmed in by massive dunes of five fairway and green blew my mind. Still does.

    Looks kinda lonely.

Going into this season with a new swing. Actually I found my old swing again. Now that I don't have to break par to do it, my goal of shooting my age will get easier.

I'm trying to get my RHR down to my age. I don't know if it will ever get any easier...

Love The River course. One of my faves.

    Cabot is an envy.

Boyne Mountain is world class golf and a bargain if you’re looking for something new.

I’m taking the boyfriend to Cabot for his 50th birthday. Booked the trip last year and everything is set from the flights, rental car, lodging at the resort, tee times and caddies.
Good that he doesn’t have DUI on his record.

Will add Boyne Mountain on the list!

Skip Bay Harbor and Crooked Tree if you do. Bay Harbor has some nice holes and is along the Lake but way over rated. Crooked Tree is a hard no.

All the courses at the mountain are worthy. Typically unlimited golf too.

The Meadow at Blackwolf Run is pretty nice too. It’s a great course because it’s like an afterthought at Kohler. No one out there.

    Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-

    Casa de Campo is amazing.
Love Pete Dye courses so I feel like a kid with new toy everyday.

Teeth of the Dog wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be.
Regardless the layout, the view and the conditions were amazing.
5th & 7th par 3s by the water are unbelievable to look at.

I was on fire front 9.
Then one too many Presidentes and Patron shots kicked in back 9.
    But that’s okay.
I came here to have fun, not break the record.

Played Dye Fore Chavon & Marina second day.
Dye Fore has 3 9s (Chavon, Marina & Lagos) and we played two most scenic (and hard) courses.
    Chavon was unbelievable course.
Landscapes I’ve never seen let alone among the golf courses.
And Marina was beautiful to look at and bit easier to play.

Less presidentes and patrons so the score card improved.

Playing the last round at The Links today.
Will report back if it’s worthwhile.
