    Utah Lift TIX Deals

I did a quick search, and didn't find anything. I am going to be in Utah from Feb 12-21 with a group of old college friends. We are staying in Park City, but plan on skiing Park City, The Canyons, Alta & Snowbird.

So are there any cheaper methods of getting passes besides multi day passes from the resorts? Vouchers, coupons, grocery store deals?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm in a similar boat from 2/24-2/27, any info would be appreciated. How about if I drive and smuggle real beer in, can I trade it for vouchers????

Lifthouse at the base of BCC sell discount tickets to Snowbird, about $10 off, they can also be purchased at Smiths I think. I've heard of a deal through REI if your a member but I don't know what resorts thats good for.

All the shops in SLC will have discount tix. Smiths grocery stores www.smithtix.com might have some deals for the bird going. They had 13 bucks off tram passes this month.

Here's a list of all the discounts one store has available. Also watch Craigslist, people have been popping up there with passes too.

MAKE SURE YOU CALL AND SEE IF THE HOT TUB IS STILL BROKEN!

Note: Alot of hotels you stay at will give you a deal on lift tickets also - you might beable to walk in and buy them even if you don't stay there. They didnt question me when i bought a ticket for my sister.

EDIT: Cheap as in $50 a night for 2

A lot of the motels have the Ski-SaltLake pass. For $45 you can get a voucher that can be redeemed for an all day lift pass at Solitude, Brighton(includes night skiing), Alta, or Snowbird(includes the tram). It also comes with a pass to ride the UTA buses. Not sure what motels have it but I know for sure that the Days Inn just off of the I-15 72000 South exit has it. I was able to buy some passes from the Days Inn even though I told them I wasn't staying with them.

Check out Backcountry.com for Canyons, Alta, Brighton, Solitude (1 & 2 day) and PCMR (no discount on PCMR - better stop at Lift House) tickets

IF you want blowbasin tix, Lift House has 'em or SkiNSee.

Edit: I've got a couple of 2 for 1's for The Canyons that I'll part with. PM me with your snail mailing addy.

$45 bucks? WTF? Maybe I'm reading this wrong but it sounds like this pass is good for one resort at a time which means:

It's more than a Brighton all day lift tix, a $4 savings at Soli and $2 at Alta. Looks like the best place to redeem is at Snowbird.

    Posted this before...

The Country Inn and Suites in Sandy 10600 S and I-15 has double occupancy for $145 a night that INCLUDES 2 lift tix to any of the 4 canyon resorts...your choice. So even with a deal tram pass at the Bird you are getting a damn nice room for around 50-bucks a night. They have a shuttle to the UTA station that will take you directly to the canyon. Plus one of the free booze happy hours M-TH and the hot tub usually works and the rooms are feces free.

That's a good idea... I forgot about them funny Utarded laws...

I might be somewhere in Utah there early next week - Monday and Tuesday. I have a window for one LCC or BCC day on Feb. 20h, and maybe a day or two on the 25 or 26th.

    Great info here, thanks utards.

On another note, does anyone know of good wireless hotspots around PCMR? we have a condo right near main street, and I will have to do some work while out there, and since my work is the intraweb, I kinda need a decent wi-fi or DSL site to log in.

The Lift House in Salt Lake City (it's almost down the road from Big Cottonwood Canyon highway) - there's a Stop-N-Go at the traffic light. They sell discounted lift tickets to The Canyons, Park City, Solitude, Brighton, and Snowbird (get the tram ticket - it's about 4 or 5 dollars more). Do you have a rental car or are you taking a shuttle bus/van? I would not bother with PArk City - it's too low in elevation. Snowbird is hard, Alta is somewhat easier, Solitude is decent (no lift lines), and Brighton is small and it takes forever.

We have a vehicle, we are driving out, we have booked a condo right off main street in PC to be near the "nightlife". Most of the group will ski only a day at PCMR, the rest at Snowbird, Alta, Canyons (I know Canyons isn't quite in the same league as the BIRD & ALTA) But regardless, some of the group is content with walking to the lift skiing for half day and going Apres'.

Anyway Thanks for all of the Beta that I have recieved in this thread, and all of the generous souls that have offered two for and oher discount options.

Do any utah resorts give discounts to employees of other resorts?

is anyone interested in trading out for some tickets to squaw?

if not, it sounds like canyon sports is my best bet.
