I would love to see a maggot filled town donwhill.
They don't call it the Mini Hannekahm for nothing.

I would actually pay money to see Tanner Hall go ass over teakettle there after his trashtalking about racers being weak skiers.

P.S. - if you maggots have a half day (or night) and $10, definitely ski snow king. Awesome views of town and the valley. Plus, Exhibition is said to be the steepest lift in North America. At the top it is way steep, and there are short icy moguls made by the town kids on short ass skis.

Don't let the Nastar tag keep you away, if you like gates. Way back too long ago, I worked for the Jackson Race Dept., and I can tell you that on one day of the week (Thursdays?), the Nastar course is closer to a normal GS than a normal Nastar course because they run it from near the top of the chair, instead of down below--well, it used to be that way, don't know if they still do it. A pretty fun course, actually, and usually well set (especially when I didn't do it).
And here's a good tip, which may still work: If you offer to slip the course once, they might let you run it for free. That was the ski bum system they used when I was there: one slip for one run.
Heh, all these broke maggots slipping the course to get free runs; it'll be the smoothest it's ever been.

Last year they did that on Sundays. I haven't seen it set up that way yet this year.

Those that are interested in a race day, PM me your cell phone number or try to get in touch with me while you're out there to see if/when it'll happen. Again, if the snow conditions aren't favorable for "other" skiing, I'll probably run some gates each day.

Heh, beat you this year. Think I had a 6 or 8 handicap one day--but those things are so screwy. Another day I don't think I got below a 16--it had snowed and by the time I got there the course was pretty beat.
And if the pacesetter has a crappy run and doesn't feel like running it again, everyone gets bumped up.
One day when it's warmer I'll probably wax and not wear my bulky clothing--maybe I'll get Daron's handicap (WTF is with that, anyway, since when is he the top GS skier?) and they'll put me on the team.
