Portland, OR maggots: anyone want to look at a car for me?

I'm car shopping again (my thread on sub-$30K lux/sport car options seems to have vanished though) -- and I found a candidate.

Anyone in Portland, OR, willing to take a look at a Porsche Cayman for me? It's in SW Portland. Probably would need you to go check it out on Saturday, April 21.

PM me if you're around and interested. Thanks!

Why don't you contact a local shop that knows those vehicles and have them do a pre-purchase inspection? Honestly, it seems kinda silly to solicit a random person from the internet to look at a vehicle you are planning on spending a lot of money for. Unless of course said random person carries around a hoist in their car to be able to really see the shape of the vehicle.

Have the seller take it to Matrix Integrated for you. I think they charge like $150 for a pre-purchase inspection. They know their shit.

You really should go on a porsche boxster /cayman blog and find a porsche PPI specialist in Portland. If I was to go check it out you would need to replace the rear tires.

Seller is having some tune-up work done at Matrix in Portland anyway, and offered to have them do a PPI. Sounds like a good idea.

Not independent though. He could slide them $200 extra to "Keep it Fair"

I don't want to say its impossible that they'd screw with you, but if I were buying a car locally and the seller was already taking it to Matrix I wouldn't think twice about having them do the check. They're good guys, and they have a good rep that I don't think they'd want to risk for a couple Benjamin's.

Or he could do the same with any "independent" shop anywhere. Seems a little paranoid to me.

As superstator says, this shop seems to be established and have a good reputation, from what I can find online (message boards on other vehicles).
