    Ipod Q: Ipdo >>> CPU

I have a mini Ipod full of music uploaded from someone elses PC. How do I get those tunes into Itunes on my PC. It must be simply but I can figure it out. When I plug in the Ipod, I can "see" the new songs under "my Ipod" but I can seem to copy them to my hard drive.

    Thanks,
    Tech Jong

Although the iPod is like a portable hard drive, you can only put files on it, not move them out and onto another hard drive. It can be hacked, though. Check here.
If you're just looking to delete songs out of your iPod, you do that in iTunes. Just click delete on any highlighted song.

I'm down with the lounge but I couldn't find any specific info. Got a link? I wonder if Apple was pressured by the recording industry to make this functionality difficult.

d/l ephpod. it works wonders. you can also show hidden files on the file view part of the ipod and then drag the songs from the hidden folders... but that takes longer.

A little buggy about some files (2%?), but works. $10

There are a lot of programs for getting music off your iPod. If you have a Mac check out www.macupdate.com to find the software. Otherwise try www.versiontracker.com.

Apple doesn't allow you to do this out of the box, because the RIAA would go apeshit. But 3rd party software makers have filled the void. As far as I know, you shouldn't have to hack your iPod either.

Kicks Ass! Simple to use, I didn't have any problems. $10 for 700 songs I just got of MD9 = a good deal. Sorry RIA.

Go to the ipodlounge and look in Help for Tips & Tricks.

There's a link there for how to get files to a PC or a Mac.

Or just click on this link http://www.ipodlounge.com/tips.php

Thanks, guys, for the tip on iPodFreedom - it worked like a charm. Even knew not to move over duplicates.
