Disappointing to read but we don't know both sides.

Just watched the Chairman's press conference and really? More questions about women being granted membership? Get over it, it's a private club. They can make membership available to three toed sloths only if they cared to.
What a joke at trying to manufacture a non-story every single year.
I still call it The Jake.
If Martha Burk would just STFU, it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't invite the IBM CEO. But they are damn sure not going to let it appear they are caving into the angry lesbian...
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.
Patterson Hood of the DBT's
yeah, thank god tiger was too good to keep out.
Tiger wins. Rory top 5. Phil stinks the joint up, barely makes the cut and finshes respectable thanks to a nice moving day run. Ben Crenshaw is in the top 5 after the first round. Predominantly guys that go out early tomorrow have a sizable advantage over the guys that start late.
LOTS of red numbers tomorrow with this thing being so soft....at least that's my guess.

This. He tied for 6th in 2009, and 4th in 2010 and 2011 while his game and life were in shambles. His "terrible" is better than 95% of the field's "excellent." That being said, I could see a short knocker taking it as the place is going to be a swamp (like 2007 with Zach Johnson) all week.
Angel Cabrera
As far as the old guys go I'll be rooting for the Walrus.
It is a private club that seems to think it is *entitled* to sponsorship dollars from entities who have no obligation whatsoever to support Augusta. Including entities whose market circumstances and legal obligations probably mean they should have no business dealings with Augusta. And whose employee and shareholder rosters include many, many women. I hope shareholders and citizens start filing shareholder measures and suing the crap out of said corporate entities. Heck, I'd throw money in the kitty to support such efforts.
For my .02 Augusta is a bunch of self-important misogynistic asshats. Given the opportunity, I'd certainly cast my vote for any company I'm a shareholder in to boycott those turkeys. I'm sort of surprised anyone patronizes them in any way whatsoever. And if the players of the PGA had any decency whatsoever, they'd lay down the law and refuse to play there. But clearly they are a bunch of spineless wimps.
Your first sentence is absolutely false. Why should we entertain the rest of your rant? I will entertain you, pay attention, you might learn something.
You sir/madam, do not, obviously, play golf. Alister MacKenzie and Bobby Jones designed Augusta National, one of the finest golf courses in the world, if not the finest.
Men, and women, play there. Men like to play in groups of 1, 2, 3, or 4 (sometimes 5). Men like to play golf with other men. When women are present, golf is just a small bit different for men. Not a huge thing, and men play golf with women often, but think of it like Tennis; mixed doubles have a very different vibe than doubles.
Betting/gambling and drinking are a big part of men playing with men. If you had any fucking clue, you would know Men often do not like to do those things in front of women.
Augusta's roots are of a mens club, where the men would go and play, while families would play elsewhere.
No one would ever turn down a chance to play at Augusta, well, no one who actually plays golf.
Someday Augusta will change, but for the next 20 years, no, they are just less "progressive", than you and move a bit slower. Relax a little, money and sponsorship dollars are not that important. They could care less FYI, about money. They are already more than rich.

Yeah, because it takes spineless wimps to say "thanks, but no thanks" to "sponsors" (they sell sponsorships, not just "take" dollars; the companies can always say no) TWO years in a row. Research the tournament in '03 and '04. Martha Bitch staged a protest and the Chair said fuck all yall anyways, we'll do it ourselves.
It's no secret that the Masters is one of the few (if only) tournaments that don't need outside money and aren't afraid to thumb their nose at networks, advertisers, and "sponsors" alike.
The best things in life aren't things.
Woods already 5 shots behind...
Back on topic, since half you turds aren't golfers anyways....
Watching right now

These are some DAMN low scores already!
-and I'm pulling for Ben Crane (Portland's own)
it's playing a tad tougher than I thought today....I really thought somebody could go super low today. Tiger grinding away....was super close to an easy eagle at 13 but instead it was long and he settled for par.
ROLL TIDE ROLL
Tiger not playing the Par 5s well today at all. He's missed left off the tee all day...if he can get that dialed in and make a move on the 5s tomorrow he'll be in good shape.
