Does anyone know if Jonathan Wade drives a red and white pickup truck? I've seen it parked outside the PDOGG a few times and it's likely an employee's. The last time I remember seeing that truck was when I was driving down the canyon and it was coming up. It crossed over the center line and totaled the car I was in. Didn't stop or anything, I remember thinking who does that shit? Well I guess I can think of someone now.

The guy obviously has some issues. I don't know the dude. All I know is what he did in that lift line, and that is a sign of a serious problem. Right now he is not the kind of person you want to be around when skiing, and having fun. I wonder how many people were affect in some minor negative way over that incident.. Doing that math he is about 40 now. Maybe life has gotten to him. Nothing more dangerous than a middle aged dude trying to make up for all the injustices he has suffered over the years.
Maybe this incident and his friends will affect some positive change. Dude looks like he is living his dream.
The dude in the Face book picture skiing with his little girl does not look like the train wreck of a human in the lift line.
Anyway, when you pick on 1 person because of their job, you are really belittling anyone with the same or similar job.

Honestly I don't know, I saw the truck there a few weeks ago, the collision happened 3 years ago. We were coming down the canyon after celebrating the life of a friend to many here killed in a Snowbird avalanche. Police were on the scene but the truck wasn't found. It was a tough time and I was just glad to forget about it until I saw that truck. I wanted to just forget about it again but it's been fucking with me, I'm shaking just typing this. I know the Wade connection is probably just a coincidence but if anyone could pm me whose truck this is it would be appreciated.

I haven't been up to the pdogg since then, I'm not intending to do anything other than inform authorities and will if/when I see the truck again. But they really weren't too interested in finding the guy the first time around.

Skiing is an inherently selfish activity. I love it, but doing it a lot does not make anyone a good person or worth respecting. Its akin to saying you masturbate a lot. I am not impressed. What does impress me is people's character. In fact, I have known very very very few people over the age of 25 whos lives are dedicated to skiing/outdoor pursuits without engaging in other passions and having balance, who arent bitter nasty douchebags that take their recreation far far too seriously.

Also, passionate could apply to just about any asshole. Anger is passion.

Hmm, you see that pic of him wiht the kid and think he must be an all right guy. I see that pic and am reminded of the fact that people with mental disorders often have kids for very selfish reasons, and the emotional well being of the child comes in a distant second to the rage and self centeredness of the parent. People that act like this guy do not make good parents.

I actually felt really bad for the Snowbasin patroller that Dascunt got fired. That guy seemed to be having a bad day and made one pretty shitty comment, in a calm voice, and most likely understood and realized it was wrong afterwards.

EVERYONE admits wade is a rageful prick, even his friends. Its not what happens when he has a bad day, its who he is. It was crude and out of line, and I honestly found it embarrassing as a friend. I'm fine with the line call out. Stepping on line cutters skis is funny. Its happened before and it will happen again.
I just really have an issue with the way this is getting blown up to the point that it may have an impact on his employment or his ability to ski Alta. When I referred to his skiing habits, it wasn't in justification of any of his behavior. It was more along the lines of..."he's a somewhat eccentric skiing kook who has structured his life around skiing." I think any of us who has immersed themselves in a mountain scene somewhere knows a person or two who fits this bill and can appreciate some of these elements.
He manages the housekeeping dept at the P-Dog, works his ass off, skis his ass off and loves his kids. Is he a little off his rocker? Sure. He'd probably be the first to tell you that. I wish he never wrote that garbage on FB, but I'm fairly sure he doesn't take it anywhere near as seriously or literally as some of you. But that certainly doesn't make it right, because clearly perception is everything.
