Salomon 914 vs 916 binding mounting pattern

I've got some Salomon GS sticks that have been previously drilled for the 914 FIS binding, but research is showing that the 916 is a far better binding in the opinion of many Maggots, mainly due to the all metal construction of the 916 and also the dual wing screws.

Do both the 914 and 916 share the same mounting pattern ?

The 916 is 5-hole pattern in the heel where as the 914 is only a 4-hole. However, 4 of the 5 holes on the 916 are exactly the same as the 914. The toe pieces are the same pattern.

Like Slim said. Drop the jig on the ski and use a bit to line up one of the holes. Drill/tap the fifth heel screw and you're money.
