Driving sucks! (anyone from PNW want a ride to SLC on wed/thurs/fri?)

Mapquest is telling me it's 925 miles from Bellingham to SLC. That's 14 hours.
Funny how that roadtrip is almost the same distance as the 893-miler I just did from CA-B'ham. Having done them both numerous times before, I think Mapquest's driving times might be a bit on the optimistic side.
Anyone wanna copilot? It's probably going to be a one-way trip (if all goes well I'll head to CA (730 miles, 11 hours...damn this country's big) afterwards.

Interesting....Just as last time you pointed it to SLT, we pointed it to SLC.
Now Funken's convinced me to head toward SLT this weekend, hmmnnn.....

BTW, that drive sucked. We had about 5-6 hours of thick fog through WA and OR.

Hopefully we'll both be blessed with similar conditions as our last road trips.

yes, that drive sucks. I almost died (along with half of the Cdn. tele team) when, somewhere around midnight, our $500cdn Ford Econoline "Loaded to the TiTs!" came around a corner and hit a patch of black ice on I84 in NE OR. Once our driver regained control we noticed 2 semis and 5-10 various other vehicles in the ditch. There were many cops and ambulances doing damage control, and we went many MPH slower after that. SKKKEEETTTCHHHH!

However, once we hit ID, I witnessed one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The Frenchie driver of the next shift (who will remain nameless) purchased a carton of Coffee Mate thinking it was a chilled coffee drink. Once we were back on the road he opens it up, takes a big slug, and proceeds to spit it all over the dash. He then chucks the carton out the window and starts swearing as only French Canadians can. Guess his English reading skills weren't up to the task.

    My favorite swearing French Canadian

Denis Lemieux: "I hate this place, make me sick my allergies - puke every time. BLAH. Like that, puke!"
Reggie Dunlop: "You're a goalie, you're supposed to be like that."

Denis Lemuix- "I say 'who own 'da chiefs?'
    Reggie-"What did he say?"
    DL-"Owns, Owns, Owns..."

    Reggie-"He's probably gay."
DL-"He's not gay. He has a huge cock. Like a horse!"
