Smokey and the Bandit

Watched back-to-back Smokey and the Bandit movies last night. Part 1 is a pure classic. Less of the cheesy Burt Reynolds humor, lots of driving fast, and very little story. Part 2 = piece of shit. Super cheesy do-over with too much story and attempted humor.

Back to the orij...some comments. Sally Fields certainly had a hottness to her, East/West Bound and Down are still great songs, I heart hot pants on sexy young country chicks, Burt Reynolds isn't a bad actor when he's not being uber-cheesy, 77 Trans Ams are bad ass, I want to meet the driver that did some of those fast semi scenes.

I Love that movie. Burt is great, the trucker and car scenes kick ass, but Sally Fields just about ruins it for me. There is something about her that just rubs me the wrong way.
