I watched the point of the video from where the slide first happened about a dozen times. Some armchair QBing here, but it looked like if he has pinned it for 30-50 more feet he might have gotten out the side of the slide. It looked like the rider just killed the throttle. It is hard to know since we cannot see him in the footage
