Thread: Snowboard tech talk?

    This is true.

I would go as far as to say that the vast majority of snowboarders suck at it. The one thing we all have in common is that we love doing it. I took a group of kids that I'm teaching through a pow field for their first time the other day. It was only their third time snowboarding, but I don't think any of them had ever been as stoked as they were riding pow their first time. Those smiles were priceless.

Do you do your vid editing up on the 'third floor', Advres? I'm betting you do.

Really though how many threads about stance and proper vape techniques can you post?
I would want to use it to have a place to bitch about bad binding mounts and how often my steezy long tee gets swiped into my ass when I use the bathroom.

There is nothing new in snowboarding since 1995. Personally I don't really care about a new forum split. Most snowboarders are irritating and disingenuous.

The only thing new in skiing since 95 is that you now strap 2 little snowboards on your feet to try to surf the pow like we do, and it still doesn't work.

What a wacked out series of statements. Well, the first statement is sorta true, actually....as there haven't really been monumental advances in snowboard/binding tech since 1995...unless you consider the blip on the radar of the Specialized bike-derived
K2 Clicker (too bad that didn't work out), and MAYBE LibTech's magna-traction or whatever in hell they're calling it.

The second is your own preference.

That leaves the third as being wacked out. Yes....SOME riders are extremely irritating, but so are MANY skiers in that same annoying 15 - 19 year age group. That's just testosterone-derived.

But "disingenuous"??? Where do you get THAT nonsense from?

Seems that since there remain obvious differences between snowboarding and skiing...a separate snowboarding forum would be well deserved and pretty cool.
Tech talk, gear-swap, chest-pounding, you name it. Maybe we'd even allow hardbooters in there!!! (unlike their OWN taliban-based website... )

    Let's do it !

Hope you chopped him up and threw him over. I wouldn't want that on my deck.
