Taking my Snowpulse to La Grave

I have searched and not found this particular question and some of the inferred questions are a little old so here goes:

I am leaving to La grave in a couple of weeks. The current IATA material appears to allow me to fly with a filled canister. Any practical knowledge of this? I call Delta who said yes, but they are not the boss of the TSA right? MY flight is direct Salt Lake to Paris.

Alternative is to buy/rent/borrow a canister once I get to Le Grave. Again, anything practical?

    Thanks in advance

Post this in tech talk, but I thought all compressed gases were a TSA nono.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

That's my understanding, only empty containers. And probably no pyrotechnic triggers.

There's a shop in La Grave that sells and rents Snowpulse. Look on the Snowpulse web site and you'll find the shop. It's likely they refill cartridges too. If they do, it's just a simple matter of pulling the trigger and flying with an empty canister.

When I flew with mine I screwed off the top so you can look into the tank. Then just teflon tape and re-screw. I had to take off the pressure gauge to get a wrench on it.

I took off the top of mine when flying from SLC. Just the part where you remove to put on a burst disk. They were a bit wary and wanted me to remove the whole top, but I couldn't seem to wrench mine open. In the end they looked in with a flashlight and it was ok to go in checked baggage.

Thanks all, shop in la grave will rent me a canister for 5 euro a day. Pretty fun to pop the bag!
