Fnavicular bone fracture on my Foot ...

So tonight I messed up my foot playing basketball. got X-rays and it seems like it a navicular bone fracture..I'll confirm that with the specialist tomorrow...

From what I'm reading this is nagging injury... I'll stay off of it for a few weeks, but that's the longest I'm going without skiing.. running and basketball can wait..

anyone have this injury before ? anyone ski with this ?

Fu232323kkkk me... why didn't I go out drinking instead of basketball...stupid choice..never turn down drinking..

I had one my freshman year (about 8 years ago) and I still get pain every now and then from it. Don't ski through it unless you don't want it to heal properly. Just drink beer and be lazy for a few weeks... it took my foot 4 weeks to heal back up to soccer form, and even then you want to take pressure on it in shorter time spans. Don't push the boundaries unless you want it to be a permanent issue.

    Thanks brew,

Sorry didn't see this till today. I have a trip from the 5th to the 12th to Tahoe and Mt. Bachelor, that's going to be around the 3 week mark. Doc thinks I should be OK but to not do jumps and high impacts..

I'll be taking it easy on this trip anyway, I'll be at whistler a few weeks after and I rather be in top shape for that trip especially with the current Tahoe Conditions...

    To anyone reading this...

there are many different type of Navicular bone Fractures. mine is an Avulsion Fracture and didn't require surgery(yet, and hopefully never) and I've been advised to pretty much aid it like an ankle/foot sprain (which it is as well)... your injury may be totally different so go get xrays and speak to a doctor and then go to P.T like am..

basically be smart and go see a pro..don't just listen to me.. I wouldn't listen to you..lol
