What makes a good spin instructor?
So the "instructor" of our group spin session lost his voice halfway through the routine. I had to take over and yell out intervals.
Trying to watch the timer, decipher the routine, and spin at 110 rpm left no room for cordiality or motivational speaking. When I tried to add 30+45 in my head, I rode off the rollers and almost killed Cornholio.
I have a newfound respect for spin instructors. What is the "ideal" instructor persona? Bubbly, with peppy motivational cliches? Or whip-cracking nazi?
Nevermore, however weary, should one faint by the way who gains the blessings of one mountain day; whatever his fate, long life, short life, stormy or calm, he is rich forever. -- John Muir
