Discount Vail Lift Tickets? Is there such a thing?

Is there any way to get Vail lift tickets at a discount? The kids are in some bump comps there this weekend and the resort is willing to allow me to buy a day pass for $71 so I can watch. I'm looking for something cheaper, ideas?

I don't think a passholders discount would be much more than that, but you can always ask.

You cant buy a 5 mountain pass after november AKPM.

One possibility if you are thinking of skiing more in summit county is an A-basin bonus pass. Its $220- a season pass to a-basin + 4 days breck keystone + 1 day vail

You'll get a few bucks off if you get a ticket through someone with a pass. Also, I used to get the Colorado entertainment book and they had all kinds of discounts. Haven't done it in a couple of years though.

If I remember correctly (and it has been a while) King Stoopids only had Skistoned and Gaperridge tix, not Vail and Beaver.

It's tough finding them if you don't have an inside connection. Shredhead (thanks a million, dude!) taught me an excellent way to get onto Ajax for relatively cheap, but that's highly classified info that can only be extracted from me through torture.

On rare occasions, City Market down in Glenwood Springs will have some discounts if you buy about $100+ in groceries. However, the discount is slight (something like $10 or $15 off). If you are in the Roaring Fork Valley area or in Denver in the Fall, get a Classic Pass - $120 for four days, plus 2 extra days around Thanksgiving, and ~$20 off when those days run out.

thanks uber...I just moved to C-dale, but will definately take advantage of the classic pass next season. There's plenty of b/c around here to keep me occupied this season.

FYI they no longer offer the Turkey day bonus.

you should be able to buy a ticket for $39 if a person with a season pass will buy it for you.

Meh... Boulder Freeride's site is down. And so is my email. And I'm getting antsy. Anybody got a link to the Colorado Mountain Pass (Keystone/Breck/A-Basin +10 Vail/BC)? Couldn't find shit on snow.com.

And I'll be happy to take a slap in the face when someone finds it without any problems...

Time to come out of lurking to comment on something I can actually contribute to:
Heading into year 2 at CU, and learned it can be best to hold off on buying a pass until you know where your friends are gonna be getting one. This is especially true since thanks to a deal at Wells Fargo you can get 2 Copper/Winter Park passes for the price of 1. (Well they have in the past anyway) Lot of people opt for the 150-200 savings that this gives over the Colorado Pass. That said you'll be able to find people to ski with whereever you go. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

    And with that, JONG away.

    Preciate it. Very much.

But me likes Breck, A-Basin, and Vail enough to warrant the difference in price. I'll stick to what I know at least for the first year, then go from there. Thanks anyway though. Seriously.

Have fun with that. Copper is good for a few days a season, a couple maybe, but that's it. No matter how many friends you've got. Where are the gates? I'd like to explore more out of Winter Park, but it's hard to get past Berthoud without stopping.

I've gotta figure out how to get unlimited days at Vail/BC. So much I want to ski there. Who knows about the gigs where you can work a couple of weeks for a season pass? I might be totally hooked up just by working at A Basin, but I don't know yet.

And when I worked in the A Basin ticket office last spring, some of the best coupons people brought me were from the entertainment book. If you're coming from out of state and don't have a season pass, this is the very best way I know of to get good deals on lift tickets, food, rentals, everything...

20 days at Vail may still be about $650.
