    3-4 day headache

What the hell is wrong with my head? I've had this dull, throbbing headache right behind my eyes and in my temples since roughly Monday. I'm not really stressed, exercising semi-regurally and I haven't altered my diet or any habits.

Ibprofen doesn't do anything, asprin doesn't do anything. I tried sleeping in today in hopes that it might be sleep deprivation, no dice.

My sister suggested trying two things, meditation and some sort of over the counter migrane meds.

    Anyone ever deal with this?

how bad is the pain? I used to get migranes all the time, and the pain would be near debilitating. I couldn't imagine going 3-4 days with one, you might want to get that checked out. Anyway, Excedrin works wonders.

Not debilitating, definetly light sensitive, but distracting me from working on some school stuff I need to do for sure.

    I'll give excedrin a shot.

Just to add, I usually can get a few hours in the morning headache free, but typically by noon I'm hurtin'.

I wear contacts. Lost my glasses over Christmas. Never been a problem before, perscription hasn't changed, not on any meds, etc.

I wouldn't be asking here, but I have to drive 3 hours to get to a doc inside my parents insurance coverage.

lots of computer work/staining to see?

    any history of previous headaches?

    any recent concussions?

and visual changes, blurred, double etc?

If you are a college kid, could the college health center help you out?

I don't think it is computer related. I get them while at work, where I don't even see a computer for 8 hours...

Not really, an episode like this last fall but not as bad and I was stressed out of my head.

    Nope.

Probably, but only to a certain point, IE- I have to pay for tests, meds, etc. Free consultation though.

    what time of day again?

Could it br related to not eating? Does it go away after a meal? ie. low blood sugar.

Other than that I'm not sure what else to ask. maybe think about going to see the campus health center though. Sounds like it might be your best shot for some sort of quick in person consult.

    Good luck

    Generally noonish.

I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If it keeps happening I'll go see a doc. Until then I'll just put up with it.

    Lightbulb

Char, go get yourself checked out. Any prolonged headache with no apparent cause is bad times.

Someone very close to me suffered a brain aneurysm last Sept. Later we found out that she had a bunch of over the counter meds (Ibuprofen/Tylenol, etc), and learnt through her journal that she was having constant headaches that were mistakenly attributed to migraine/ lack of sleep, etc. If she had sought medical attention instead of keeping quiet and doing nothing about it maybe it would have been detected earlier

Hope it turns out ok for you. Don't mean to scare you or anything, but it's better to be safe....
