There is no snow, but wax up your boards

Here's how the day-to-day is breaking down so far:

Wednesday the 4th the incoming WNW swell is expected to peak with surf running 3' overhead at west facing breaks. Heaviest swell is due in the early AM, with somewhat smaller surf in the afternoon.

Thursday the 5th should see this swell back off to around head high max.

Friday the 6th is when our next WNW swell is due. This is looking to bring DOH surf to most all west facing breaks, possibly bigger at times at standouts (with face heights up to 15' at standout west facing breaks on the biggest set waves).

Saturday the 7th is looking a bit smaller, but still around the DOH zone at well exposed west facing breaks.

Sunday the 8th is looking smaller, more around head high or so for west facing breaks.

Monday the 9th is looking much smaller, around chest max at west facing breaks.

Sounds like some fun times coming So Cals way.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

I'll be there, more Nor/Central Cal, but the swell looks far better than the snow totals. Looks kinda spicy for this mountain kook...

1st spicy swell of the year, sweet! Unfortunately most spots in SD will be closing, which will concentrate the crowds.

Santa Cruz should be going off. I'll likely hit up Princeton Jetty then check out Mavs before work.

Swamis was the usual shit show with 3-7 guys taking off on every set wave. That is the one thing I really like about skiing better, I can just let the other 6 guys go and then go 10 seconds later I am off by myself. Work tomorrow, so maybe PB Point on Friday would be better for this out of shape jong, if it is suppose to be big.

Naples was about 3" today. I'll be back on Sunday for the fun sized waves. Missing all the juice, but, hell, time with the family can be relaxing. Although, I did want to take out the big board after the last big session.

MDJ, if you can head south. I'd expect the jetties to be a wash with those numbers. The last few weeks have been good in SC, with a few spicy days mixed in. Kind of reminds me of last January. And that was followed by an epic three months of snow. Just saying.

    Enjoy the waves folks.

Agree about the relaxing with the Fam comment. Just flew back from CO today and missed a 85 degree day with head high+ waves but the family time was good enough for me

Arg, Sorry to hear it. I can only imagine that wave was the goods back in the day. I'm getting more reclusive from shit shows with each year that passes. PBP or SSC should hold up well
