EC mags: where you at this weekend?

Kinda looking to get out of the house for the entire weekend. My roommate is having a birthday party and I don't want to give him the pleasure of being graced with my presence. Anyone heading up to Jay, Stowe, the bush, or the loaf this weekend and looking to share a motel room?

and here we go with the ec weekend thread where everyone states where they ski, the same place they usually state in these threads, and no one will make any attempt to meet up or change their plan, but will be sure to let us all know what that plan is, for some strange reason.

    so i'll sart.

i'll be at stowe. i expect to sleep on a floor in hanover on friday and a floor in burlington on saturday. and don't forget the cereal throw down.

    Brilliant!

Full marks for insight, sarcasm, and just a hint of desperation.

Sick and ashamed and happy (and will be at Jay, probably on Saturday),

I'll be at home staying warm Since I seem to be short on solutions for preventing frozen feet, even at temperatures around or greater than 30 degrees...I've had custom fit boots, custom insoles, heaters, tried various socks (using smart wool now)...all with limited success. Even with heaters, it just slows the freezing process a couple of hours. I'll be attempting anti-perspirant next, and if that doesn't result in any improvement maybe seeing some type of vascular doctor

So get some turns for me, and be happy if you are fortunate enough not to deal with frozen feet (and I mean frozen as in wh ite spots, not ohhh my feet are cold).

For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

I have the same problem. I've just gotten used to the initial pain and subsequent numbness. A good way to prevent the excruciating post boot removal pain is to put shoes on right after. It seems to slow the blood flow to the feet, allowing for a mellow tingle rather than that hammer-to-the-toes feeling.

Yeah, and I'll be at Wisp tonight. Doubt I'll ski this weekend though.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

will prolly make bench laps off the gondola if coverage is the same as last weekend.

i'll be on pistols, bill will be on super nobis. wicked ugly. If it fully sucks its okay because the cereal throw down is going to be sick.

I'll be at app. sat and sun.
I'm sure I'll see lots of maggots there.
I'll be at the base of the double chair about every 4 to 5 minutes, depending if someone falls getting on or off the lift.

K-mart Sunday...at the 10:00 meeting. Hopefully snowed in on Monday--I mean driving home sunday night in the dry, dry cold air with nothing falling out of the sky at all.

Hey shmerham, good meeting you out there (you too Shamrck)....it'll take a storm to get my butt out this weekend, so I'll be doing the usual, at the same place, at the usual time, and damn if I'll change plans to meet up with anybody....see ya out there...maybe.

Will cereal be provided at the throw down or is it more of a BYOC? I have a fairly wicked concoction of Grape Nuts, Captain Crunch and Count Chocula which I pack together in a decent amount of Quaker Oats.

I like to call it the HOT97 Love Bomb.
Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.

More likely P-Pass or Williams ski trail

I have therm-ic heaters built into my boots. My feet will still freeze by lunchtime on a relatively warm day, even with putting them on setting II...and this occurs even when unbuckling after each run to help blood flow. If I were to leave them buckled they'd likely start to freeze within 2-3 runs.

Sorry, forgot to mention I also do the lunchtime boot removal - replace with warm shoe/snow boot technique. Even when doing this, it has taken my feet 45min or more on numerous occassions to thaw out, even when making a serious attempt to get circulation going. The "initial pain and subsequent numbness" do little to phase me at this point, however I dream of the day when my feet will stay warm on their own (doesn't appear to be in the near future).

Also, the worst part about this is, I'm only 18, I can't expect I will see any improvements. This is a problem I've had with football practices and games in November, and most other outdoor activities in the colder months.

Weather forecast for Jay Peak this Saturday (from onthesnow.com):

    Hi 2° (-17°C)
    Lo -23° (-31°C)

Yikes! Could be a chilly morning...

Sick and ashamed and happy (and noting that the Jay site simply has N/A for their forecast),
