The steep dh riding here is insane. It may be my most favorite spot in the lower 48 for that kind of riding.

    Nice shot as usual.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Jimmy is the man and the homie behind all those loamers. Have yet to ride the new Jimmy&#39;s Dad. If you think those are steep/gnar come back and ride Lobo/Elbow at the park in mid-summer. Same pitch except higher elevation, and zero dirt. All rock or rock dust.&nbsp;</p>

I had a day a few weeks ago where I saw 11 bears. Really cool experience.

Are there any actual trails in the Belts or anywhere else near Helena/Canyon Ferry that allow E-bikes? My lady got a class 1 e-bike (and before the haters come in she has burned way more calories in 2 weeks on the e-bike than she ever did on the acoustic bike).......anyway, you pretty much can't legally ride it anywhere that isn't a moto trail which is hilarious.

Around here none of the moto trails open until 6/16. Over the Helena way they all open 5/16. Gotta run up to Canyon Ferry to show some RE today and we were gonna try to ride some bikes. The MVUM for the area are from 2016, but I'm seeing stuff that in 2021 a bunch of motorized trails were re-classified?

I really would like to follow the law, but it's a stupid ass law that her dinking around on her 42 pound non-throttle e-bike is evil but thousand pound horses are allowed to blow holes in any trail they want year round.

I know and I think horses are great. I would love to have a mule for elk season. I completely understand that they are part of the montana heritage/way of life. Class 1 e-bikes being the same as 750cc motos is straight up fucking stupid too.

See: Kingdom Trails in VT. They just opened up their entire 100 mile system to Class 1 E-bikes.

I empathize - lots of great places I would like to go that say. "No dogs"
( I would keep 'em leashed, Not go during busy times, and pick up after them., but
    'No dogs' is no dogs.

in the meantime, Lots! of Montana IS Open to e-bikes ( just Not those restricted bike trails -

Break new ground! You Will ! !!!

Lots of fire roads in big belts and elk horns but not really much single track.

Agreed on e-bikes, I bought wife/kid e-bikes last year and we’ve done so much more riding than we would have otherwise. I don’t have a motor (yet) but I see the appeal.

Horses are far more impactful on trails than an extra 75-125 watts from an e-bike. But they are motorized I guess.

You know what is a sick deal- is the early late BS pass for 240$

You get April 1-12 at bs. Noone around, fat as can be snowpack etc.

Also get the first 3 weeks of the season. Got a sleeper storm day a couple yrs ago up there . Everyone slid off blocking the road. Was a good morning

    Get it.

Tram access is per ride extra or $500+ to add unlimited tram. Not quite the sick deal unless you just want to stay low. April tram laps are the shizz!

I hear you but plenty of hill to ski for 10-20$ a day.

If it's snowing it'll be a good time. Sorta fits my season I'll probably pull the trigger.

Big sky is no silver I'll give you that
