Nice work Schralp. But that video does not really show the steepness very well.

GoPro/Insta360/etc has a tendency to really flatten stuff out unfortunately.

True. I'll look and see if there's a "steep mode" in settings.

Grabbed a couple south face laps before work. Snow was ok…maybe a bit wind affected.

The canyon is absolutely beautiful right now though.

I had a really fun day. Skied fresh tracks on Andesite for an hour and still got on first tram. Three Marx/Tohelluride laps where I just kept pushing left into the untracked, daring the sharks to bite but they did not. Snow was nice over there. Then the rope dropped on Gullies/Crons and it was sick. Legs were cooked but I couldn't stop because it was too fun. Plus the viz improved, which was nice. Great day of skiing.

I would’ve loved to have gotten the Gullies rope drop. It’s looked nice for some time.

    Glad you got some!

We kept joking we're going to go to the avalanche dogs meet and greet but never did.

Has the tram ever been maxed out to its capacity of 60? That sure seems like sardine territory.

I think it's actually 75 and yes apparently it has been loaded to max capacity. One of the tram ops broke it down for me in terms of skiers/guided skiers/scenic riders/patrollers, etc. But he said 75 capacity which surprised me.

Annnnnd another 2-4". Weekend looks good and soon the hordes depart. Dakota was very good yesterday albeit long laps due to the lift being closed.

Not often you see LO Ridge and Lobo at +40 in early January.

That video is sweet. Definitely better vis than we had over on the tram that day. Looks pretty filled in too, for early January.

Super busy on the old riblets. Rolling solo like usual so no good pics but timed a rope drop nicely. Backside shaping up especially since snow came in wet/heavy. Fingers crossed for 2nites storm!

Another one? I heard someone got stuck in butthead on Christmas day.

Is Last Russian Ski Bum still around? I've only ever seen him on the North side.

If it is the same guy I remember from the N. Side, he was crazier than hell.
