To add to the Cooler stoke going on!

    https://youtu.be/nph1g7rZA-0?si=cII-9b2t1YIYZkVK

My buddy and I got in twice on Sunday morning and it was a blast! I hadn't skied it in about 2 years so it was a real treat to get it in prime wind buff conditions.

*Please ignore the clickbait title. But it gets the normies to watch*

Damn whitefish is off of the GD season pass? That is a serious bummer.

Another fun note, I was on vacation on an island with pretty much 90% new yorkers/CT folks and talked to a family who said they used to go to big sky but whitefish is so much better and that is where they and all their friends go now!! Coincidence on being off the pass? I think not.

Yeah I noticed that as well. It's possible they are still negotiating this but I don't know anything. In any event the pass is still the way to go. The snow yesterday was seriously wind affected and basically sucked. However the weekend looks to be promising.

According to their social media posts, they are still negotiating those reciprocal agreements, so we'll see. Still a great bargain at $350 IMO.

Hell of a warmup...and you caught just the right post-run banter for making the youtube normies jealous.

I usually ski like shit on the first run of the day. Trying to work on that as it is especially annoying on powder days or when you skin something and only get one run.

Cooler conditions look killer. They let peeps in there right on top if eachother now? Usually it’s first skier to dog leg before second skier in.

That's still the way they want you to ski it

I'm sure that's still protocol, and that's how I've skied it in the past. In this case, I think we both saw it as a fun opportunity for a top to bottom run together as we don't often get to ski with each other. We've done this type of thing in the Headwaters--chasing each other down, so honestly, the couloir felt safe and mellow.

You should have BB all to yourself with everyone at work or in lectures.

I guess the obvious option is BB. Hope the conga line isn't too bad. Seasons like this are the worst cause everyone takes off when it's deep.

When it's super consistent snow you can roll up and weekdays are just weekdays and theres 10 people on the hike.

Ah cool. Just curious as they used to be sticklers when I lived and skied there. Got in trouble a couple times playing chase on chalk days down it. Great video!

PSA: MT FWP 2024 fishing and hunting license applications opened online today. Good luck to those applying for additional tags in the lottery.

Traffic/parking seemed bad on Tuesday but never really waited long in a line. Seemed like every MSU student was out there that day. Hopefully today isn't a zoo there.

Big Sky canyon drive was slow going. There was a truck missing a wheel in the middle of the road. Currently snowing hard.

    Dang that was good snow.
