Great line in great style, wish I could have been exploiting it a little more this spring but great to see the stuff on your blog. Working hard on next year, hope to run into ya.

Looks like a great time, Jup. That's quite the face to ski!

Skied Imp yesterday with George, still in great condition, turns all the way to the moraines. Ran into two nice folks out there and summited with them, and met a guy at the TH who was planning to ski it today. Usually I don't see anyone down there, yesterday saw 2 other parties with the same goal. Imp=played out. Ha! jk

    George almost to the saddle

Decent bit of snow left up in them there hills..

George laying into a sweet turn. The snow was great, you could really let 'em run

Damn Imp looks sweet. Tone i'd appreciate any info on the great one if you make it up there. Mostly curious if you can drive to the trailhead.

Skied the great one today. Road not open past second gate. Still some snow around the campground. Rode a buddy's junker hartail up there with my stuff and skied around 11:30. Still went through barely without taking skis off, the snow is not great and really peppered with rockall. Fun sporty skiing though, melting fast up there. A few pics soon...

Knee felt good enough, maybe it's that double fall line though, skied on my good leg the whole way down!

The steeper lines looked to be getting pretty borderline, big gap at the top of the laser and exposed rock in the airplane gully.

So that was my morning journey. Been trying to make the most of the long days so went up and rode Cinnamon in the afternoon. Horse fucked beyond all recognition in spots but it still tugs at my downhillin heartstrings.

Somebody should go ski Echo with me next Monday Tuesday. I have lost alot of ski partners due to being a gimp for two seasons and people getting married, having kids and leaving for jobs. Not this dirtbag, free as a bird and looking for more ways to put this battered carcass to good use.

You can see the Echo peak and the line from the summit in OGDAFBE's photo. Not the biggest or gnarliest thing around, but a good excuse to go backpacking and climb a nice peak in some beautiful country. Bring bug dope.

Yeah, he's pretty stoked to serve on the board after skiing there for more than 40 years. It'll make my folks the first husband/wife to have both served on the board.

Keep the photos comin dudes, missing good ol MT for sure still. It's so.... not sunny out here in WA. On the other hand, there's still a 100 inch base at 5500'.

Nice work Tone, my buddy Chris came in the day after you I think. Conditions looked good, I was enjoying the view from afar.

That line earlier in the thread off Black is Burly, I was scared just watching that, here is a shot of it from across the way.

If Imp is all played out,....this is one to the North and East, not sure the name.

WAY across the way! I'm guessing you don't mean Blacktail(actually unnamed pk 10,226') in the pic, but Black which is behind that. Nice shot from elephanthead though. I have that same picture and stared at it constantly before finally riding the chute to lookers left of the main peak. At least blacktail hardly gets skied due to distance and route finding, or at least it didn't like five years ago

I may be confused but yah this is looking from elephant. thought it was black but either way?

Here is one from the bottom of Black, i think, i think that ramp that was skied at the bottom of the line is just to right of center in this?

yep. the first pic is not Black. It is however a really sweet mountain if you're willing to get in there. You're correct about the 2nd pic though, and it is a very impressive line especially to anyone who has stood on top of Black mtn looking down on it. I'm pretty sure Han Saari(not sure? maybe Kris Ericsson?) or someone else tried to ski that face and got turned around. i'm sure someone around here knows. Anyways love your pics and see ya on the skintrack hopefully

    ^^^ that is sick.
We heard you in our twilight caves, one hundred fathom deep below, for notes of joy can pierce the waves, that drown each sound of war and woe.
